Lecturer: Kazusora Miller
Miller Waku
Born in the United States in 1954, he currently resides in Japan. Since coming to Japan in 1978, he has worked in corporate public relations, primarily in investor relations (IR). In recent years, his work has focused on corporate investigations at the request of British and American investment funds. He served as interpreter and media liaison for Michael Woodford, who was dismissed as president of Olympus in 2011 for exposing the accounting fraud scandal. He also handled media relations for Yokoo Norimasa, who was arrested as a mastermind behind the scandal and was convicted after 966 days of pretrial detention. He became a monk in 2009. As a translator and author, he has translated numerous non-fiction books into English, and his own Japanese book is "An American Zen Monk Delves into the Structure of Japanese Society: Conversations with 13 People" (Kodansha, 2015).
